A Scanner Darkly: The Movie

1. The movie helps clear the confusion about the Scramble suit and how it looks and works.
2. Shows a lot more about Donna and Bob’s relationship.
3. Jerry Fabin is no longer part of the story.
4. Charles Freck isn’t in the movie a lot compared to the book.
5. Shows what Substance D looks like.

1. Why isn’t Jerry Fabin in the Movie?
2. Why were major parts of the book left out?
3. Why are Jerry and Charles characters combined?
4. Why was the scene with Luckman choking and Barris not saving him included?

1. Cajole- to persuade with flattery or gentle urging especially in the face of reluctance.
2. Barris:Okay, okay! I mean jeez. Or as the Germans would say "leise" which translates to "be cool". Just be cool.

1. Fade Transition Chapter 9 going into Chapter 10
2. Chapter 4: :20-Chapter 5 Over the Shoulder between Barris and Freck

1. The film was very good and cleared a lot of questions I had because it showed what Phillip K. Dick was trying to get across but couldn’t really explain in a book.
